About the game

What you do in a play session

Get ready for a card battle full of strategy and a touch of luck in "Nur die Ziege zählt"! In this game for 3 to 6 players, each round begins with everyone receiving 8 cards numbered from 1 to 50. The key here is to predict the total value of your tricks in the round. You can select a scoring range, and the tighter your prediction (and if you get it right!), the more valuable points you earn. But beware, guessing wrong can cost you!

After placing your bet, the action heats up: tricks are played. Whoever took the last trick starts the next, and the highest value card wins the round. Trick points are calculated by summing the 'goat heads' printed on the cards (from 1 to 5) with the number of the lowest card in that trick. At the end of each round, those who correctly predicted their score earn game points, which can range from 2 to 5, depending on how daring your prediction was. The game ends after a set number of rounds, and the player with the most accumulated points is crowned the goat champion! "Nur die Ziege zählt" is a fast-paced game with simple rules, but it requires good hand management and a bit of bluffing to emerge victorious. Perfect for those who enjoy card games with a fun theme and trick-taking mechanics.
