In Bohemians each player steps into the shoes of an artist wandering the bohemian streets of Paris at the turn of the 19th to the 20th century, trying to turn inspiration into masterpieces while juggling everyday obligations. The game runs on cards: you collect, purchase and play cards that represent habits, muses, social events and work tasks. Every round you plan the day’s agenda – you may go on a date, attend a salon, seek your muse, create a painting, or simply go to work. Each choice yields different bonuses and inspiration points, the currency used to buy new cards and grow your deck.
Deck‑building and pool management sit at the core; the better you organize your hand, the more inspiration you generate and the faster you can acquire achievement cards that push your artistic career forward. The win condition is to collect the most achievement cards, representing exhibitions, awards and recognition. Games last about 45‑60 minutes, support 1‑4 players, and work equally well solo or in a group. While the mechanics are easy to grasp, balancing social life, work and creativity creates engaging strategic decisions. Bohemians earned Fastaval nominations and awards for Best Presentation, Innovation and Game, showing its strong visual and gameplay appeal.
