Get ready for an epic journey in Calamandara, a strategic board game that pits you and 2 to 4 players in a thrilling race to the center of the board! Each traveler starts at their respective starting point, and to advance on this challenging grid, you'll need to master the use of Dogmatic Symbols. These are tokens with unique abilities: some give you a little push to speed up, while others create obstacles to hinder your opponents. The trick is that these symbols not only help you move but can also be used to plan your route and even sabotage those close behind. But that's not all! Memory Cards come into play to add that extra spice. They can boost your moves, turn the game upside down, or defend you from unexpected attacks. The key is to use them at the right time, as they are limited and require a good dose of strategic thinking and risk management. Your turn is divided into four phases: acquire Dogmatic Symbols with Symbol Cards, place them on the board to map out your strategy, move your pawn across the grid based on these symbols, and finally, manage your Memory Cards (reserve, discard, or acquire). Reaching the center of Calamandara first is the objective, but the path is full of tactical decisions and twists. With so many possibilities for using symbols and cards, each game promises a new and engaging experience, blending the nostalgia of chess with the unpredictability of Jumanji. It's a game that demands planning, adaptation, and a touch of boldness to emerge victorious!
