About the game
What you do in a play session
In Canyon, you embark on an exciting race down a winding river, where luck and card shrewdness dictate who arrives first. This is a classic trick-taking game, but with a special twist: in each round, you need to predict exactly how many tricks you will take. Sounds simple, right? But the hand of cards starts small, grows, and then shrinks, challenging your reading and bluffing skills with every turn.
The board is a scoring track representing a river in a canyon. Correctly predicting your tricks means your marker advances along this path. But beware! If you miss too many consecutive predictions, your marker might get 'caught in the current' in a section of rapids near the finish line, being swept backward a few spaces. It's a mix of excitement and strategy, where every mistake can be costly and every correct prediction propels you towards victory. Canyon re-implements the idea of Bid & Bluff, but with a theme and dynamic that make it unique. Get ready to bluff, predict, and hope your cards lead you to victory!
