About the game

What you do in a play session

Scharfe Schoten (aka 'Hot Peppers') is a card game that mixes trick-taking with a twist of strategic prediction. Here, it's not enough to just win tricks - you need to guess which colors will earn you the most (or least!) points. The catch? All cards show their colors on the back, giving you extra clues to plan your moves. There's a shared deck that can help (or ruin!) your strategies, and each round you must follow suit even with trump cards in play. Watch out for the cards you play - that harmless-looking pepper might burn you if you're not careful about colors! In the end, whoever comes closest to their predictions takes the win.
