About the game

What you do in a play session

In Capital Lux, you're thrust into a tight contest to influence both the capital city and your own hometown. Each round, you'll get a hand of character cards, each with a value and a special ability. The big question is: where to play this card? Playing it in your hometown might score you points at the end of the game, but be careful not to exceed that profession's limit compared to the capital. If you play it in the capital, you activate the character's ability – there are merchants to gain gold, agents to place secret modifiers, scholars to draw more cards, or clerics to manipulate cards in the capital. Every decision is a dilemma! Gold can be used to increase your personal limits, but it comes at a cost. At the end of the round, if your hometown exceeds the capital's total value in any profession, you lose all cards of that profession. It's a game of constant balance, where bluffing and planning mix with drafting luck. Featuring incredible art and quick gameplay, Capital Lux is a great choice for those who enjoy card games with a strategic twist and plenty of interaction.
