Get ready for the National Capivárias Tournament, where Brazil's cutest capybara groups gather at the Capivari River for an epic aquatic duel! In Capivárias, you and your opponent will compete for control of the waters, with the help of your favorite humans. This is a duel microgame, consisting of just 18 cards, where the goal is to collect as many points as possible as your capybaras float down the river.
Each game features a unique river setup: three cards are flipped to form the course, revealing special scoring conditions for each section – like doubling points for all odd cards, you know? On your turn, you choose a capybara card from your hand and place it on your side, at the starting section of the river. But be smart! If two cards from the same capybara group meet, the one with fewer capybaras is pushed downstream, creating a chain reaction that can be both a blessing and a curse. You need to read your opponent's intentions and use the right capionças to secure victory.
Capivárias is the second game in the Piquinim Collection, known for its compact and strategic titles. Featuring the capicrias from the Southeast, the capiôxes from the Northeast, and the capitchês from the South, each group has its own identity and can influence the game in different ways. Language dependence is minimal, with little text and easy-to-memorize rules, making it accessible to everyone. Keep an eye out for predators and the river's flow, as every move counts in this fun and strategic capybara duel!
