About the game

What you do in a play session

How about a quick taste of the classic Carcassonne? This demo version, designed for you to print at home (Print & Play!), captures the essence of the original game in a streamlined package. The idea is simple: you and your friends will build a medieval landscape by placing tiles that depict roads, cities, and fields. Each tile added expands the map and creates new opportunities for your followers (the meeples, which here can be replaced by any small objects you have on hand, like buttons or bottle caps!).

When you place a tile, you can decide where to position one of your meeples: as a knight in a city or a robber on a road. When one of these areas is completed, the meeple scores points! At the end, incomplete areas also award points. The key difference is that in this version, you don't use farmers in the fields, and some editions might have fewer cloisters. It's a super accessible way to get a feel for Carcassonne without needing much, perfect for introducing the game to new players or for a quick fix. The rules are basically the same as the full game, ensuring that familiar experience everyone loves, but with an even lower learning curve and a playtime that fits into any break.
