About the game
What you do in a play session
Chaos Marauders puts you in charge of a marauding orc clan, tasked with assembling three battle lines ready to crush the dwarves. Each player starts with a blank mat that slowly fills with cards depicting orcs, goblins, war machines and even treasure. Every card carries its own rule, granting bonuses or sabotaging opponents. To complete a battle line you need a specific pattern: a standard at the front, a musician at the rear, and every space in between filled. Once a line is finished it can be used to disrupt another player's unfinished line, giving the game that satisfying "I’m wrecking your formation!" feel. The game ends as soon as someone completes all three lines, after which points are tallied – each card has a value and completed lines add a bonus. The highest total wins. While it’s a card game, the tile‑placement‑like line building and the need to collect sets of units give it a nice blend of set collection and spatial puzzle. The artwork features classic Citadel miniatures, so Warhammer fans will recognize the orcs and goblins. It’s a quick 45‑minute experience, lightweight (1.4/5), for 2–4 players, perfect for short sessions among friends who enjoy a bit of cheating and orcish brutality. If you like building armies and meddling with rivals' formations, Chaos Marauders will feel right at home.
