Chicken Caesar

In Chicken Caesar, players are thrown into a very peculiar Ancient Rome, where aristocratic families are... chickens! Yes, chickens, and they're desperate to forge a legacy for their family name. Each family boasts ambitious roosters, ready to do whatever it takes in politics to climb the ranks, get rich, and secure fame. Lower-ranking offices, like Aedile and Praetor, might not offer much glamour, but those who hold them control both the purse strings and the power of the sword. With a few roosters in these strategic positions and some well-paid (and temporary, of course!) allies, the path to the luxury and recognition of titles like Censor, Consul, and even Caesar becomes much smoother. But being Caesar isn't easy! Fail to bribe and bargain to ensure the welfare of the whole coop, and today's Caesar might just become tomorrow's Coq au Vin. Dead roosters don't earn any more points, but they do offer a huge opportunity for their surviving relatives to exaggerate their accomplishments. In the end, all that matters is history's judgment, and history, my friend, can be rewritten. The core mechanics involve gaining and maintaining areas of influence through extensive negotiation and voting. There's a Suffragium marker that players pass after voting, deciding whether a rooster gets promoted to a higher office or is thrown to the fox. You can demand bribes for your votes or even abstain to gain a later advantage. Murder, betrayal, votes for cash, fragile alliances, and bloody vendettas: all are part of the struggle to become – and remain – the legendary Chicken Caesar!
