About the game

What you do in a play session

In Conquest of the Fallen Lands, you and your friends are the heroes tasked with freeing a kingdom overrun by monster hordes — and reclaiming the treasures they stole. The modular board is built with hex tiles representing everything from small orc scouting parties to terrifying dragons, each with its own difficulty level. On your turn, you’ll use troop cards to conquer these territories, earning resources to buy abilities or even turn the tide of the game. But watch out: every conquered area opens new opportunities for you... and your opponents! The game includes two rule sets: Normal (more accessible and fast-paced) and Advanced (which turns it into a strategic puzzle fit for a medieval general). Plus, magic cards add special effects that can completely flip the game on its head. Ready for battle?

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers before you buy

5 questions
What’s the ideal player count?
3 to 5 players. With 3, it’s more strategic; with 5, it’s chaotic fun.
What’s the difference between Normal and Advanced rules?
Normal is faster and easier to learn. Advanced adds strategic depth but requires more time and patience.
Is translation needed to play?
Yes, there’s moderate language dependency. Some cards need translation (but the community has created workarounds).
How long does a game take?
Around 90 minutes on average, but it varies based on player count and rule set.
Is it beginner-friendly?
The Normal mode is, especially if the group has played strategy games before. Advanced is for veterans.
