About the game
What you do in a play session
D-Day at Peleliu immerses you in the intense battle fought by the US 1st Marine Division in September 1944 during World War II. The game simulates the landings and the two-day struggle to capture the airfield at the southern end of Peleliu Island. A longer campaign scenario allows you to extend the action to the rugged terrain of 'Bloody Nose Ridge,' where Japanese resistance was fierce. The game features mechanics such as landing hazards, variable enemy positions, fields of fire encoded on the map, and a narrative driven by random events. Additionally, it introduces elements unique to the Pacific Theater, such as naval and aerial bombardments, flamethrowers, offshore reefs, Japanese tank attacks, tunnel network movement, and Banzai charges. With one map, one counter sheet, and 55 cards, D-Day at Peleliu offers a deep and immersive strategic experience.
