Prepare to enter the mysterious and dangerous forest of Dragonwood! There, fantastic creatures like angry ogres and mischievous goblins lurk, and the dreaded fire-breathing dragons are always on the prowl. In Dragonwood, your mission is to collect adventurer cards to form strategic combinations: numerical sequences, groups of the same number, or cards of the same color. Each combination grants you dice to use in combat against the creatures inhabiting the forest. You can try to scare fire ants, yell at a grumpy troll, or even face a dragon with a magic sword. The key to victory lies in choosing your actions wisely, as the terrain of Dragonwood changes with each game, and only the bravest will overcome the challenges. On each turn, you can choose to draw more cards or attempt to capture a creature or an enhancement. Defeated creatures and collected enhancements grant victory points and advantages, respectively. The game ends when all dragons are defeated, and the player with the most points claims the glory. Dragonwood is a fast-paced game with simple rules that invites you to make interesting decisions: is it worth going after smaller creatures or saving cards for a bigger attack? Will an enhancement pay off, or is it better to focus directly on creatures? Will you take a chance on a dice roll or go for a sure thing? With each play, the deck shuffles anew, ensuring that every adventure in Dragonwood is unique and full of surprises!
