About the game
What you do in a play session
Dungeon Time throws you and up to four allies into a five‑minute sprint through a fantasy dungeon packed with items and quests. Each player holds a hand of cards that represent gear or missions to fulfill. The goal is to match the right equipment and play the corresponding mission before the hourglass runs out. Cards are drawn from a shared deck, and everyone can shout for a needed item from a teammate – rapid communication becomes essential. Placing unnecessary gear in your backpack adds weight and can cause defeat, so hand management and memory of which cards have already been used are vital. The game runs in real‑time, with no turns, creating tension and a burst of adrenaline. When the timer expires, you check the story deck: if all missions were completed correctly, you level up for tougher challenges. The solo mode works the same way, letting a single player test speed and strategy. With simple rules, lightweight components (just cards and an hourglass), and playtimes ranging from 10 to 60 minutes, Dungeon Time is perfect for groups who love frantic cooperation, quick games, and a splash of fantasy. Great for short filler sessions before another game or as a party warm‑up. While the game feels light, the need to remember which items have been played and to coordinate quickly can be a hurdle for those who prefer slower paced titles.
