About the game
What you do in a play session
In Emergency Broadcast, you and your friends step into the shoes of first responders, racing against time to secure vital resources for your community. The premise is simple, yet the execution is packed with strategic decisions: over three rounds, floodwaters rise, making the terrain increasingly treacherous and diminishing the availability of land and resources. The ultimate goal is to be the most efficient responder, fulfilling your rescue objectives and accumulating the most points after three stormy rounds. Each round kicks off with the distribution of three objective cards, from which you must choose two to focus your efforts. The turn order is straightforward, but every action counts: first, you lay a resource tile on the board, expanding rescue options. Next, if your hand isn't looking great, you can exchange a tile for a new one. Then, if the situation allows, you can score one of your completed objective cards. Finally, you move the first responder meeple onto the tile you just played, a clever move to protect your resources and prevent the next player from immediately sabotaging your plans. It's a game of planning, adaptation, and a touch of cleverness to ensure your community is the best served.
