About the game
What you do in a play session
Get ready to dive into the fascinating world of philately with Stamp Swap, a game that transforms the art of stamp collecting into a super engaging tabletop experience! Created by Paul Salomon, known for Honey Buzz and Genotype, this game challenges you to assemble the most impressive and valuable stamp collection. Each round, you'll participate in a clever tile drafting system: first, you'll select tiles from a public pool, which includes both face-up stamps and face-down surprises, plus some bonus cards. Then, the 'I Cut, You Choose' mechanic comes into play – you divide the tiles you've taken into two groups, and another player chooses one group for themselves. The group they don't choose stays with you! The big deal is organizing your growing stamp collection each round and trying to fulfill one of the four available scoring goals. But pay attention: each goal can only be scored once, so the choice is crucial! The game unfolds over three intense rounds, where the objective isn't just to have many stamps, but to collect high-quality ones, including the coveted gold-foil stamps. It's your chance to interact with other collectors, build a beautiful and focused collection, and show it off in a series of contests. Who knows, you might just walk away with the top prize at this year's Stamp Swap!
