About the game
What you do in a play session
Embark on a journey to elegant Regency England with Endearment, a strategic board game that transports you into the world of Jane Austen's heroines. Imagine this: you are a distinguished young lady, fresh from reading a captivating novel, and you begin to ponder your own life. Would you possess the wit, charm, bravery, and fortune worthy of a literary protagonist? The game casts you as one of these heroines, navigating balls, drawing rooms, and the social dilemmas of the era, all while enhancing your attributes and engaging in social rivalries. All this in pursuit of a fairytale romance, naturally! The adventure unfolds over several Chapters, each introducing new Settings and Characters to the board, along with a Plot card to guide events. You'll need to plan your trips to Town to gather Persuasion, update your wardrobe at the Modiste, and perhaps find an interesting suitor. Then, it's time to visit locations and interact with characters in a social dance that culminates at the end of the Chapter. And like any good Austen story, the climax is a wedding! In the end, whoever has built the most charming romance and accumulated the most 'Endearment' wins. It's an experience for those who enjoy strategy with a touch of romance and a deep dive into classic literature.
