About the game

What you do in a play session

Euphoria: Ignorance Is Bliss returns to the dystopian chaos of Euphoria, but with a slew of additions that make the game even more flexible. The Icarites descend from the clouds and impose a new way of life on the Euphorians, Wastelanders and Subterraneans, creating a setting where you can choose to use the original recruitment and market cards or replace everything with brand‑new sets exclusive to the expansion – just don’t mix the two, they’re meant to work separately. Besides the fresh recruitment cards, a brand‑new type of recruit appears, adding strategic depth without introducing new factions. The headline feature is the Automa mode: an intelligent AI system that lets you play solo or, in a two‑player game, makes it feel like a four‑player match by filling in actions. Revised rules address the frustrations of the original release, adding a “New Antiques Bazaar” board and components that better balance production and trade. The result is a 1‑to‑6 player game with playtimes of 40‑90 minutes, preserving the blend of dice rolling, hand management, set collection and worker placement that made the base so beloved. If you already enjoy the core game, you’ll find the expansion provides enough “alternative stuff” to refresh the experience while keeping its soul, and it also opens the door for solo play without losing the feeling of a full table. In short, Ignorance Is Bliss is the dose of novelty the Euphoria universe needed, with tighter rules, more strategic options and solid support for different player counts.
