HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
In a post-apocalyptic future, the city of Euphoria has risen from the ashes of the old world, governed by an elite that preaches intellectual equality above all else, eradicating personal freedoms and knowledge of the past. But not everyone lives under this twisted utopia: the Wastelanders, outside the walls, hold the memories and scars of what once was, while the underground city of Subterra houses miners and revolutionaries, connected by a secret network of passages. In Euphoria: Build a Better Dystopia, you take on the role of a faction leader, using dice as your workers and recruit cards to shape this dystopian world. Your goal is to gain control by generating resources, building markets that impose restrictions on opponents, digging tunnels to infiltrate other areas, and collecting artifacts from the past that the elite covet. The worker-placement mechanic is the heart of the game, where the value of each die (worker) represents its 'knowledge' – how aware it is of the dystopia. A high level of knowledge can bring bonuses, but also the risk of a worker deserting you! Additionally, you have elite recruits, some loyal and others who need to be convinced through game milestones. Victory is achieved by dominating territories, whether by building markets or trading artifacts for land. Prepare to rewrite history and decide what you're willing to sacrifice to build a… better dystopia?

How many players can play Euphoria?
The game is ideal for 2 to 6 players, making it quite versatile for different groups of friends and families.
What is the average playtime for a game of Euphoria?
A game typically lasts between 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the number of players and familiarity with the rules.
Is Euphoria a complex game to learn?
It has a medium weight (3.112/5 on BGG), so it's not super light, but it's not overly complex either. The learning curve is smooth for those who already have some experience with board games.
Are the dice just for luck, or is there strategy involved?
The dice are your workers, and their value represents 'knowledge.' This adds an interesting strategic layer, as high-knowledge dice can bring bonuses, but also the risk of a worker deserting if collective knowledge gets too high. It's more than just luck!
Does the game have a lot of player interaction?
Yes, quite a bit! You can build markets that affect other players, dig tunnels to infiltrate opposing areas, and even use opponents' actions to activate your own recruits. Interaction is a strong point.
Who is Euphoria best recommended for?
It's highly recommended for those who enjoy worker placement games with an innovative twist, a strong dystopian science fiction theme, and aren't afraid of a bit of strategy and competitive interaction.
