About the game
What you do in a play session
Step into the shoes of an influential figure in a small, wealthy town. Gather with other powerful individuals in a hidden spot to divvy up the profits from a shady business deal. Your goal? Use all your diplomatic tricks and negotiation skills to strike agreements that satisfy everyone, including yourself, of course! If you've got the silver tongue and aim to leave with the fattest wallet, this game is for you.
Gentleman's Deal is a diplomatic party game about sharing money. Each turn, one player becomes the dealer and receives a secret card indicating the amount they must distribute. They personally make offers to each player, who then simultaneously vote 'yes' or 'no.' If a majority accepts the deal, those players receive the offered amount, and the dealer takes the remainder! However, the dealer must strike a balance: being too generous might leave them with too little, while being too greedy could lead to a majority vote to decline. If that happens, the dealer goes to jail and misses their next turn.
It's not just about the cash; players also share valuable contacts represented by accomplice cards, offering powerful benefits that everyone wants to acquire. The game concludes after several rounds, varying with the player count, and the player with the most money wins! It's a game for those who enjoy bluffing, negotiating, and having a blast with an energetic group, all with straightforward rules and plenty of laughs. Perfect for breaking the ice or livening up any party with a touch of cunning.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers before you buy
What is the average playtime?
A game of Gentleman's Deal typically lasts between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on the number of players and how quickly negotiations proceed.
How many players can participate?
The game is designed for larger groups, accommodating 5 to 9 players. The more people, the more chaotic and fun it gets!
Is it a complicated game to learn?
Not at all! The rules are quite straightforward and easy to grasp, making it perfect for parties or playing with less experienced gamers.
Do I need to speak English to play?
Hardly! The text on the cards is minimal and easy to memorize or quickly translate, so the language barrier is very small.
What happens if no one accepts the dealer's offer?
If the majority of players vote 'no,' the dealer goes straight to jail and misses their next turn. Play then passes to the next player.
What is the main objective of the game?
The goal is to be the player with the most money at the end of several rounds. But don't forget the contacts, which also provide points and benefits!
Is this game more about luck or strategy?
It's a bit of both! Luck comes into play when receiving money and contact cards, but strategic negotiation and bluffing are crucial for winning.
