About the game
Get ready for a dose of strategy and memory with Gobblers, the compact and super fun version of the classic Gobblet! If you enjoy a good abstract challenge without the complexity of a giant game, this one's for you. The objective is simple yet addictive: be the first to form a line of three pieces of your color, be it horizontal, vertical, or diagonal, just like in good old Tic-Tac-Toe. But here's where it gets interesting, because your pieces, the charming 'Gobblers', come in three different sizes and can nest into each other. That's right, a larger piece can 'gobble up' a smaller one, hiding it on the 3x3 board. On your turn, you can either take a new piece from off the board and place it in any empty space, or move a piece already on the board to a new location, as long as it fits. The catch? If you move a large Gobbler and reveal a smaller opponent's piece that completes their line, victory isn't automatic for them! You get a chance to save yourself by moving your piece to cover another of your opponent's pieces in that same line. It's a game that tests your memory as you try to remember what's hidden under each Gobbler, and your ability to plan moves ahead. Perfect for a quick game full of twists and turns!
