About the game
Get ready to dive into early 20th-century Vienna, an era of cultural and political effervescence, where the demand for quality accommodations is high! In Grand Austria Hotel, you start with a modest café, and your goal is to transform it into one of the city's most renowned hotels. To achieve this, you'll need much more than just good coffee: you'll have to hire an efficient staff, satisfy the wishes of your most demanding guests, and, of course, win the emperor's favor. Each round begins with a dice roll, which are then organized by value into specific action spaces. On your turn, you choose one of the six available actions, and the number of dice in that space determines the power of your move. After using a die, it's removed, allowing you to perform additional actions. These actions enable you to acquire the necessary dishes and drinks, prepare rooms for new guests, or hire staff with special abilities. The key to success lies in attracting the right guests and fulfilling their orders, which can yield powerful bonuses. Staff cards also offer crucial advantages. The game unfolds over seven intense rounds, and time is short to do everything you want. Victory goes to whoever makes the best decisions and cleverly chains bonus actions. With a vast variety of 116 cards and a setup that changes every game, Grand Austria Hotel guarantees fantastic replayability, demanding new tactics and strategies each time you sit down at the table.
