Hannibal: Classic Edition throws you into the Second Punic War, when vengeful Carthage launched an epic clash against Rome across the Iberian Peninsula, Italy, islands and North Africa. You can take the role of one of history's most legendary generals – Hannibal Barca or Scipio Africanus – and use strategy cards to move armies, recruit troops, seize provinces and wield political influence over the Mediterranean. The game blends area control, card‑play combat resolution, icon‑dice mechanics, and historic events that shift the flow of play. Victory comes by capturing the opponent's capital, holding more provinces at the final round, or wiping out all enemy control markers. The Classic Edition revives the original war scenario, features an updated rulebook that clears up previous ambiguities, and adds a Playbook with step‑by‑step tutorials. Plastic miniatures are replaced by cardboard standees for easier production, and the Sun of Macedon expansion supplies extra general and strategy cards as an optional rule. Designed for one or two players, games run 65–245 minutes and carry a strategic weight that satisfies history‑simulation fans. If you love deep tactical choices, legendary generals, and the scent of Mediterranean dust, Hannibal: Classic Edition invites you to relive one of antiquity's greatest campaigns.
