About the game

What you do in a play session

Heul doch! Mau Mau is that card game that starts simple and ends with everyone laughing (or crying, literally, thanks to the emotional onions). The goal is to get rid of cards in your pile, but here's the catch: if the card you play matches your neighbor's top card, you must give them points! And no use crying—or actually, crying helps, because face-down onion cards are your temporary refuge. But beware: at the end, each onion in your pile forces you to discard valuable cards. Oh, and there are special cards to shake things up, like Catapult (toss out others' high cards) or Werewolf (everyone flips their top card). It's chaotic, fast, and perfect for those who enjoy a little backstabbing among friends.

Is it too luck-based?
Some luck, but you can strategize with special cards and onions.
