In 370 BCE, on the island of Kos, the medical world mourns the passing of Hippocrates. As one of his successors, your mission is to honor his legacy by taking charge of the Asclepius temple, the birthplace of what would become the first hospital. The goal is to expand the place's fame, attracting patients from across the Mediterranean seeking innovative treatments. Prepare for four intense rounds, each divided into five crucial phases. Begin by welcoming patients, but choose wisely: some need urgent care, others are easier to treat. Neglecting the most needy can cost you reputation. Next, ensure your doctors are well-remunerated to prevent them from leaving. The hiring phase allows you to bring in new doctors and medicine kits, with bonuses for acquiring both. Healing is the moment to shine: organize your doctors and patients, connecting them efficiently to maximize your outcomes. Finally, tally victory and reputation points, and prepare the board for the next round. Hippocrates blends auctions, tile placement, and resource management into an experience that challenges you to become the worthy successor of the great Hippocrates.
