Get ready to dive into the Pacific Theater of World War II with Imperium Solis Orientis, a strategic wargame that puts you in command of historical powers. Based on the classic Imperium: Empires in Conflict – Worlds in the Balance, this game invites you to rewrite history or follow its footsteps. You take control of either the Empire of Japan or the Allied Nations, managing your forces in an epic conflict. Each round begins with the economic phase, where you collect your income, maintain your troops, and build new units – after all, a war isn't won just with courage, but also with logistics! Following this are two phases of movement and naval air combat, with the opportunity for amphibious landings and ground combat interspersed between them. Utilizing naval, air, and ground forces – each with distinct characteristics regarding movement and combat – your goal is to expand your territory, eliminate enemy forces, and establish crucial bases. If you play as Japan, your objective is to accumulate victory points by controlling political objectives and reaching 55 points for victory. The Allies, on the other hand, win by either controlling the Japanese home islands or severing Japan's transport network to reduce their income to zero. A true challenge for seasoned strategists!
