Get ready to build your own kingdom on the stunning Isle of Skye, a place famous for its soft sandy beaches, gentle hills, and impressive mountains! In Isle of Skye: From Chieftain to King, you and your friends (2 to 5 players) take on the role of Scottish clan chieftains, each seeking to expand their territory and accumulate as many victory points as possible to become the sovereign of the island. But don't be fooled, the competition is fierce, and in each game, the strategy changes completely, thanks to a super clever scoring system that uses only four of the sixteen available scoring tiles, ensuring that each game is a unique and challenging experience. The heart of the game revolves around tile placement and a very peculiar auction system. Each round, you'll draw two terrain tiles, decide which one to keep, and which to put up for sale, setting a price for each. Here's the trick: you need to be clever when pricing your tiles. A high price can give you a lot of money, but if no one buys it, you're forced to buy it yourself at the price you set! It's a real tug-of-war between valuing your land and ensuring it gets bought. Ultimately, the goal isn't to be the richest, but to build the most prosperous and well-planned kingdom. With mechanics that blend auction, tile placement, and set collection, Isle of Skye offers strategic depth that will make you think about every move. Will your kingdom be the most glorious and make you the king of the Isle of Skye?
