About the game
Get ready for an epic trek through ancient China! In Journey: Wrath of Demons, you and your friends take on the roles of four legendary pilgrims — Tripitaka, Monkey, Monk Sha, and Cho Hakkai — on a sacred quest. The goal? Find the Sutras, ancient scriptures that are the only hope to save the world from a demonic invasion. But don't expect a peaceful stroll: the path is infested with dangerous minions and culminates in a final showdown against the fearsome Bull Demon King.

The game blends detailed miniatures with a dynamic combat system using cards and custom dice, creating tense moments where every decision counts. The modular board ensures that exploration is always fresh, and the game's AI handles the demons, allowing you to focus on cooperation. After all, no one wins alone here; either the group survives together, or everyone falls together.

The real highlight is the moral dilemma. Do you prefer the path of brute force, hacking and slashing everything in your path, or the path of virtue, cleansing demons' souls and saving villagers? This choice isn't just cosmetic: it directly impacts your Karma, influencing your characters' abilities and equipment. You can attempt side quests to strengthen the group, but be careful: spending too much time can lead to more demons spawning, potentially making the mission impossible. It's a constant balance between power and morality.

If you're playing alone, no problem. The solo mode is practically identical to the multiplayer experience, with the only difference being that you control all four pilgrims. With about 10 initial quests, each with its own goals and unique rules, the game offers a considerable variety of experiences, ranging from quick 30-minute games to more intense sessions lasting up to 2 hours.
