La Sociedad del Río

Hey everyone! Ready to roll up your sleeves and help revitalize the Piles River in Gijón? In La Sociedad del Río, we team up to clean up the river, removing weirs, clearing the water, controlling invasive species, and planting trees along the banks. The cool part is that by doing this, we not only improve the river but also create a fantastic ecosystem where native species can make a comeback. It's a semi-cooperative game, so we work together, but everyone's still aiming for their own points. You can choose to either improve the river's parameters – like current, shade, and cleanliness – or place a species in the right area, whether it's in the river, on the bank, or in the forest, as long as the ecological conditions allow it. Each action earns you points and extra rewards on the tracks you advance throughout the game. Once the ecosystem reaches a good level and natural balance is restored (like when 2 out of 3 tracks surpass a certain threshold), we play the final round. Then, there are bonus points for those who fulfilled secret goals. It's a super fun way to learn about ecology while having a blast with your friends!
