About the game
What you do in a play session
Alright folks, ready to flip the script? In Legendary: Villains, we swap out the capes for the masks of Marvel's most notorious baddies, and the mission shifts: instead of saving the world, we're trying to take it over! Imagine Venom, Magneto, Loki, and other heavy-hitting villains teaming up (or not!) to take on the heroes we know and love, like the Avengers and Spider-Man's crew. The core mechanic remains that beloved deck-building we're all fans of, where you'll be powering up your deck with new cards to get stronger each round. It's got a cooperative feel, but with that hint of 'every man for himself' that makes things extra spicy. You and your friends (or just you, if you enjoy a solo challenge) need to work together to thwart the master villain's evil schemes and the heroes that pop up along the way. This is a standalone game, so you don't need any other Legendary titles to jump into the action. The language dependency is moderate, so having a reference sheet or translated cards might be helpful to keep the momentum going. If you're into Marvel, deck-building, and a good dose of strategic villainy, this one's for you!

What comes in the box?

Is it very similar to the original Legendary?
The central deck-building mechanic is the same, but the role reversal (playing as villains) and the new challenges offer a very different and refreshing perspective to the series.
