Line‑it is a card game that blends closed drafting, contracts, and ordering into a super-fast rhythm. Each round you decide whether to place a card in your ascending or descending line, keep it in hand, or start a new line. The goal? Score points with each card you play and, most importantly, try to grab the jackpots that appear when you have three cards of the same color in the same line. The deck has 400 cards: 400 numbered cards from 1 to 100 in four colors plus six Bet cards from 3 to 5. You start with a market of cards that is two more than the number of players, and each turn you pick a card. If it can’t fit in your line or hand, you must score the line, start a new one, and play the card. Bet cards are special: they let you keep playing without respecting order, and later you can win positive or negative tokens depending on how many cards you add after the bet. When you score, you discard three cards, flip the rest, and put them in your score pile. If you manage to play the third card of a color in a line, you immediately grab all the cards under that color’s jackpot token. At the end, when no more cards can be placed, each player plays a card from hand, scores the line, and totals points: 1 point per card plus the bonuses/losses from the bets. The game is quick (20‑20 min), light (weight 1/5), and works well with 2 to 5 players. It’s perfect for those who love quick decisions, calculated risk, and that “boom” moment when you hit a jackpot. If you enjoy simple-to-learn card games with strategic depth, Line‑it will surprise you. The closed‑draft mechanic makes every choice matter, while the contracts add a risk layer that can change everything. In short, Line‑it is a card game that combines speed, risk, and fun into a short but intense playing experience.
