About the game
What you do in a play session
Picture yourself as a construction robot on Mars, with colonists just about to arrive. Your mission is to build living domes and then escort the settlers to their new homes before time runs out and oxygen runs low. The board starts with a central tile, then action tiles are dealt to determine which colors you can use to move resources. Each resource must be placed on a station of its color before you can place a new board tile on top, and the goal is to build as many domes as possible. Meanwhile, the sand timer ticks: you can flip the timer only by moving a resource onto one of the timer spaces, which sends the resource back to the bank and disables that timer spot. If you run out of time, the game ends and the settlers never land. What makes it special is that everything happens in real time, no turns. All players look at the same board and move resources simultaneously, creating a sense of urgency and coordination. The grid‑movement mechanic forces each decision to be calculated, while the modular board ensures no two games are identical. The experience is short, about 15 minutes, but intense and fun, especially for those who enjoy fast challenges and teamwork. If you love escape‑room, maze, and sci‑fi themes, Magic Maze on Mars could be your next tabletop pick.

What’s the complexity level?
Medium: rules are simple, but real‑time coordination demands focus and non‑verbal communication.
