About the game
In MetroX, you become a subway planner, drawing the most efficient lines to connect stations on your personal map. It's a 'flip-and-write' game where everyone plays simultaneously, so downtime is minimal. Each round, a card reveals a number or a special symbol. If it's a number, you write it in one of the control boxes for a subway line and then draw 'circles' (representing stations) along that line's route on your map. The number of circles depends on the number drawn, and you must stop if you hit an already filled space or reach the limit. If it's a circled number, you can skip over filled spaces, offering extra flexibility. Star cards let you mark special bonuses at strategic stations, and circle cards give you complete freedom to mark any station. The goal is to complete subway lines as quickly as possible to secure the larger bonuses, but beware: leaving too many empty stations at the end can be costly! You can choose between two iconic maps: Tokyo or Osaka, each with its unique line layout and bonuses. It's a fast-paced game with simple rules to learn, but it requires planning and smart decisions to optimize your network and achieve the highest score. Perfect for those who enjoy quick-thinking games with a touch of luck!
