About the game
What you do in a play session
Get ready for the cold and the pressure in Nanuk! In this super social and fast-paced card game, each of you is a hunter who loves to boast. The thing is, bravado needs to turn into action when winter bites, and that's where the fun begins. Each round, one player takes the lead on the hunt and must bid on how far they'll go and what they'll bring back. Other players can raise the stakes or fold, declaring the hunt doomed. If you fold, you become a 'doomer' and can score if the hunt fails. But if it succeeds, all hunters share the spoils! The twist is that each player secretly decides whether to help or hinder the ongoing hunt. You need a sharp eye to know who to trust and when to take a risk, because Nanuk (a giant polar bear!) can end everything at any moment. And watch out for inuksuks – they offer a little protection, but only once! It's a game of bluffing, set collection, and lots of negotiation, perfect for those who enjoy interaction and aren't afraid to take a gamble.
