In 'Oil: The Great Adventure', you step into the shoes of a powerful oil company, diving into the thrilling race to dominate the global oil market. The game challenges you to compete for valuable oil fields and lucrative cargoes on a dynamic board, where luck and strategy go hand in hand. You move across the map, landing on different types of spaces that can change the course of your fortune: 'Information' for risk cards, 'Memo' for strategic bonuses, 'Drilling' or 'Helicopter' to acquire exploration rights, and the 'Stock Market' to invest and grow your capital. Each time you pass one of the two production areas, your oil fields spring into action, generating varying quantities of oil – Kuwait leads, followed by Iraq, Qatar, Iran, and Trinidad. If the drilling adventure calls, your token moves to a special drilling track, where you might discover a new well or face the frustration of a dry hole. At any time, you can ship your oil cargo to the world's major ports, with ships navigating the central world map. The profit from your cargo directly depends on the current oil price, which fluctuates between 1 and 4 units, influenced by 'Information' cards. The game concludes when a pre-agreed time limit is reached, and the player with the greatest wealth is crowned the oil magnate.
