About the game
Picture this: the Lion, the great king of the jungle, has simply decided to take a deep nap and just won't wake up! With the throne vacant, the forest has turned into total chaos. The animals are desperate to find a successor with enough nobility to please Mother Nature and rule with authority. That's when a clever monkey suggests: 'Why don't we choose the Panda to be the King?'. This is the whimsical setting of Panda Rei.

In the game, the struggle for the throne takes place over two main rounds. Each round consists of 11 turns of pure competition. The dynamic is simple yet strategic: everyone plays cards from their hand onto the table, fighting to win the dispute. The winner of the round gets top priority when choosing which cards from the table to place in front of them, as these are the cards that will be scored at the end of the game.

But watch out, because the victory rule has a twist! Normally, the player who plays the highest value wins. However, if there are duplicate cards on the table, the victory goes to the largest group of identical cards with the highest value. In other words, raw power doesn't always beat group unity! The winner of the dispute takes two cards from the table and starts the selection process; other players then choose in order to the left. The unlucky one is the player to the right of the winner, who ends up receiving nothing during that turn.

After completing the two rounds, it's time to settle the score. The player who managed to build the best collection of cards in front of them earns the most points and is crowned the new King of the Jungle. It's a fast-paced, light game, perfect for those who want to learn trick-taking mechanics without needing a hundred-page manual.
