About the game

What you do in a play session

Picky Eaters puts you and up to four friends in the shoes of picky kids gathered around the dinner table. Each player controls a secret character placed on a square of a grid. The twist? Every character has two foods they simply refuse to eat, and nobody tells you which ones. The goal is to stay at the table as long as possible; the first player forced to eat a disliked food is eliminated.

On each turn the active player drops a food card onto a row or column of the grid. All characters in that line "flip" – they reveal what is written on their dinner card. If the placed food matches one of the character's two aversions, the dinner card flips. If two or more disliked foods appear in the same round, the character is eliminated outright.

Games run fast, lasting about 10‑15 minutes, and support 2‑5 players. There are no heavy rules or bulky components; you only need the food cards, the character cards, and the grid. The tension comes from trying to guess which foods opponents are keeping secret while you aim to “tag” a row or column that will make them eat something they hate.

Because grid‑coverage meets deduction, every move feels like a tiny puzzle: you watch what’s already been played, infer hidden aversions, and pick the optimal line or column for your next food. When someone is eliminated the board opens up, but the pressure rises – fewer players mean fewer distractions and a higher chance of being targeted.

Picky Eaters shines for fans of quick, interactive games with a dash of bluffing. There’s no scoring track or long phases; the winner is simply the last character still standing. If you enjoy reading opponents and strategic placement, this one will taste just right.
