About the game
Know that game you can carry in your pocket and play anywhere? Postcard Cthulhu is exactly that, but with a heavy dose of cosmic horror! Here, you and your friends take on the roles of desperate researchers attempting the nearly impossible: delaying the awakening of the beast Cthulhu. The big twist is that the board is literally a postcard, and your game 'pieces' are common coins you have at home. It's brilliant and minimalist at the same time!

The gameplay is very dynamic. On each turn, you take a handful of coins from your hand and flip them to see where you can act on the map. By placing a coin on a location, you activate a special ability—it might allow you to gain more coins or move resources across the board following the arrows. But don't think it's all fun and games, because Cthulhu plays too! Every round, the active player flips three coins for the entity, which can result in stealing resources or advancing the Carcosa track, which limits the hand size for everyone. It's a race against time and chaos.

To win, the group needs to get three 'heads' in two specific strategic locations on the postcard. If Cthulhu manages to steal enough coins or fills the Carcosa track, the end of the world is inevitable and everyone loses. It's a fast-paced game, perfect for a break between larger sessions or when you want a horror experience without hauling a massive box. It's minimalism with plenty of style and tension!
