About the game
Imagine you're a dwarven miner who just stumbled upon a glowing cave filled with rare crystals. The rule is simple: whoever gathers the most valuable collection by sunset becomes the owner of the mine. But don't think it's a walk in the park, because greed is your biggest enemy here! In Quartz: The Card Game, the dynamics revolve around deciding your risk limit. On your turn, you choose between exploring the mine or protecting what you've already earned. If you decide to explore, you reveal cards from the mine deck. Every crystal found is a win, but be careful: if you're unlucky enough to hit an accident, you lose absolutely everything you collected in that round. The tension is constant: do you stop now and secure your crystals, or try one more card to boost your score, risking leaving empty-handed?

To add some extra spice, you can spend some of your crystals to hire Assistants. These helpers are the key to strategy, as they can either make your life easier or sabotage your opponents' journeys, creating a healthy competitive atmosphere at the table. If you prefer safety, you can choose to store crystals of the same type in your chest, shielding them from other players' interference. At the end of the game, whoever has the most valuable sets of crystals wins the dispute. It's a fast-paced game with accessible rules and that stomach-churning feeling typical of knowing the next card could be glory or total disaster. Perfect for those who enjoy luck-based games with a pinch of mischief and plenty of interaction.
