About the game

What you do in a play session

In Roméo & Juliette, you play as literature's most famous lovers trying to escape their tragic fate. The box unfolds into a Renaissance stage where you move pieces between locations in Verona, attempting to meet without alerting the rival families. It's cooperative with a twist: communication is limited. You can't directly say where you want to meet - you must use cards and subtle hints, like writing those old love letters. There are 9 chapters with increasing difficulty, so you can start easy and end in 'Shakespearean hardcore mode.' You win if love triumphs over hate before the third act. You lose if the rivalry reaches its peak. And yes, the game box is part of the gameplay - when opened, you're instantly immersed in 16th-century Verona.
