About the game
What you do in a play session
Imagine being a prisoner in a space station with oxygen running low. What's your move? Race through the maze to grab oxygen or sabotage your cellmates' paths? In Sector 6, that is exactly the dilemma. This is an abstract strategy game where you control two fugitives trying to collect oxygen tokens to survive and win. But hold on, it's not just a simple race. The game is split into two crucial phases that will really make you think. First, there's the construction phase: you and your opponents place hexagonal tiles to build the maze itself. Here, every tile placed is a strategic move to create your ideal path or, even better, to make life difficult for the person sitting next to you. Once the layout is set, the real fun (and chaos) begins in the competition phase. It's time to move your prisoners through the maze to collect oxygen points. However, there's a twist: the board isn't static! During play, you can rotate the maze tiles. This means that a path that looked perfect could turn into a dead end in a heartbeat, or you could rotate a tile to open a direct route to your goal while simultaneously blocking an opponent. It's a game of pure environmental reading and anticipation. The winner isn't necessarily the fastest player, but the one who can manipulate the surroundings so that the oxygen comes to them while others get stuck in dead ends. If you love games where the board itself is a tool for both attack and defense, get ready to breathe deep!
