About the game
What you do in a play session
In Senshi, you're not just another temple acolyte; you're a warrior-monk vying for the master's position! Your sensei is ailing and needs a successor, and the competition among students is fierce. To prove you're the one, you must master four essential virtues: strength, agility, wisdom, and honor. A true master cannot neglect any of them.
This abstract strategy game for 2 to 4 players is quick, perfect for 15-20 minute sessions. Gameplay revolves around stacks of tiles representing these four virtues. Each turn, you have three options: 'Study' to take entire stacks of tiles; 'Train' to select an individual tile from any stack; or 'Test' to score your tiles at the opportune moment. The key to victory is having the highest scoring pile in at least one attribute by the end of the game. But beware: the player with the lowest scoring pile is eliminated first! Keep an eye on your opponents, anticipate their moves, and exploit their weaknesses to achieve the ultimate honor of becoming the temple's next master.
Senshi is a light and accessible game, ideal for those seeking a quick strategy experience with a competitive edge. It's a great choice to kick off or wind down a game night, or for those moments when you want a mental challenge without committing to a lengthy game. Player interaction is direct, with important tactical decisions to make each turn.
