About the game

What you do in a play session

Sentient puts you at the helm of a conscious‑robot startup promising to reshape industry, transport and information. Each game starts with a pool of available bots; when you pick one, you place it in your factory, altering the dice on the adjacent spaces. Those dice represent the bots' "programming": at the end of each round they are summed and turned into efficiency points. Yet you must also court investors – each bot carries a contract or bonus that can win financial backing, so balancing dice optimization with investor appeal is essential. The game uses open drafting, so all players see the bot options and can plan simultaneously. Adding a new bot next to an existing one modifies the dice again, creating a domino effect that can boost or sabotage your plan. Area majority/influence comes into play as you try to dominate sections of your factory to maximize robot impact. The design blends dice‑math with set‑collection decisions, since certain bot types grant extra benefits when grouped. In 30‑60 minutes, 1‑4 players will build, program and negotiate, feeling the pressure of a tech revolution where every choice can make your AI empire thrive or crumble. The light weight (2.2) keeps it approachable, while still delivering a tactical puzzle for fans of optimization and planning.
