About the game

What you do in a play session

Solomon's Temple is a tense two‑player duel where each participant simultaneously plays the Israelites building Solomon's Temple and the Babylonians attacking the opponent. Every player commands a personal deck of 100 cards, drawing and playing them to erect structures, furnish the sanctuary, raise altars, summon prophets or priests, and at the same time launch Babylonian armies against the rival temple. As you advance construction, your opponent can play Sin cards to stall you, but you have Burnt Offerings and Scapegoats to cancel those setbacks. The fold‑out board depicts Jerusalem's Old City, with zones for each card type and for army tokens. Army movement is dictated by dice rolls or a spinning disc, adding a luck element that rewards clever hand management. The win condition is to be the first to complete all Structure and Furnishing cards and then play the "Filling of the Holy of Holies" card. Games run about 60‑90 minutes, feature very light rules (weight 1.2/5), and demand strategic set collection, sin control, and timing of attacks. Perfect for fans of territory‑building, biblical themes, or intense two‑player face‑offs, though players seeking longer or multiplayer experiences may find the format limiting.
