About the game
What you do in a play session
Something Else Entirely is a trick-taking game for 2-4 players using the beautiful Japanese Hanafuda deck, full of floral and seasonal symbols. Each player gets 8 cards, and the goal is to win tricks by playing cards of the same suit (month) as the lead card or using the mighty Pauwlonia. Scoring works like traditional Hanafuda fishing games. It also supports team play (2v2), adding more strategy and fun. The game first appeared in the 'You Can Play These Games With Cards' rule booklet—so yeah, it’s creative and outside-the-box!
