About the game
What you do in a play session
Prepare to board the Enterprise and relive the excitement of the 2009 Star Trek movie in Star Trek: Expeditions! Here, you and up to three friends take on the iconic roles of Kirk, Spock, McCoy, and Uhura, working together on a breathtaking cooperative mission. The Federation has received a membership request from a planet, but upon arrival, the Enterprise crew finds a tense situation: a Klingon cruiser lurking in orbit, a civil war about to erupt on the planet, and the population itself reconsidering its decision. You have only 30 turns to resolve it all! The mission is threefold: de-escalate the civil war, deal with the Klingon threat, and ensure the planet joins the Federation. Fail, and an entire Klingon fleet might warp in, forcing a humiliating retreat. Every decision counts, and how you interact and manage resources will determine the success or failure of the expedition. The game features detailed miniatures of the officers and ships, with a 'click' system on the bases to indicate damage and affected abilities, somewhat reminiscent of the Clix style. Although it's a complete, standalone game, it was designed with the potential for future expansions, opening doors for new missions and adventures in the Star Trek universe. It's a great pick for those who love the theme and want a challenging collaborative experience.
