About the game

What you do in a play session

Prepare to dive headfirst into the turbulent China of the late Han Dynasty, a historical period that inspired legends and epic battles! In Three Kingdoms Redux, you take on the role of one of three feudal lords – Cao Cao, Sun Jian, or Liu Bei – fighting to unify the country under your rule. The game faithfully recreates the conflicts and intrigues of this era, where military might and political cunning go hand in hand.

Each lord begins with distinct advantages and disadvantages, reflecting historical realities. The powerful Wei, led by Cao Cao, has more initial resources, while Wu and Shu must ally to survive. But beware, as alliances are fragile and the balance of power shifts every round! You'll need to manage your state wisely, developing the economy, strengthening your army, winning the people's loyalty, and negotiating with neighboring tribes.

The gameplay is intense, with players using their generals in an auction system to secure the most important actions. Want to recruit troops? Develop your farms? Or perhaps control the Han Emperor? All of this comes at a cost and requires planning. With up to twelve rounds of pure strategy, Three Kingdoms Redux is a feast for those who enjoy complex games with plenty of interaction and a rich historical theme. Prepare for long and rewarding game sessions where every decision counts on your journey to become the supreme emperor!
