Ticket to Ride: First Journey – Europe brings the classic Ticket to Ride experience to younger players, but in a compact, colorful package. Each game starts with four train cards in hand and two tickets showing two cities to connect. On your turn you may draw two cards or discard the ones you have to claim a route on the map, paying the exact color and number of cards the segment requires. When you complete a ticket you reveal it, score it, and draw a new one. If you run out of viable tickets, you can discard them and draw fresh ones. A special twist: linking a westernmost city (Dublin, Brest or Madrid) to an easternmost city (Moscow, Rostov or Ankara) instantly grants a cross‑continent ticket. The game ends when a player completes six tickets or places all of their trains; the player with the most completed tickets wins. The European board replaces the U.S. map of the original junior version, yet the hand‑management, network‑building and set‑collection mechanics stay the same, making it easy to learn and quick to play (15‑30 minutes). Components are sturdy: bright‑colored train pieces, train cards, tickets and a nicely illustrated map. Perfect for kids aged 6+, but also enjoyable for adults who like a light, strategic race.
