About the game
What you do in a play session
To Unlimited, and Beyond, also known as Chip It, blends hand‑management with a ladder‑climbing mechanic. Each player starts with a random hand and a handful of chips. On your turn you may play cards to the center—cards must match or beat those already played—or return two chips to the stock. The twist is using chips to tweak the values of the cards you play. For a red card, each chip adds 1 to its value; for a yellow card, each chip doubles the card’s value. So with a 7 red and a 4 yellow, you could take two chips to turn both into 8s and play a pair of 8s. To continue, you need to play a pair of 9s or a stronger pair, or else return two chips. If no one can or chooses to play, the last player who played clears the pile and may start again or passes the lead by returning chips. The goal is to be the first with no cards in hand and no chips in front. The game is quick, with 10‑15 minute rounds, and demands focus to keep the ladder moving. Components are minimal: a 36‑card deck in distinct colors and a set of chips. It’s perfect for fans of fast card games that mix strategy and a bit of luck via chips.
