This is a game where player interaction is the main spice. One moment, you need to rely on your rivals to attack the galleon; the next, they might stab you in the back with a mutiny to keep all the riches. There are no cards in hand here; the focus is on communication, deduction, and knowledge of the community Event cards. Revealing cards randomly? Terrible idea, as almost half of them can drastically hurt your team. It's much smarter to peek at the cards first or rely on your closest 'ally.' Knowing where harmful Event cards are located gives you the power to force an enemy to reveal them and suffer the consequences. The true masters of the game are those who can identify their teammates and share crucial information at opportune moments.

Vote cards are also super important. Each has sections for Attacks, Mutinies, and Brawls. Positioning yourself well to use your Vote cards is essential, as your hand might not always be ideal depending on your pawn's location. Sometimes, it might be worth causing an attack to fail to save a Crossbones card for that mutiny against the captain you've been planning. Tortuga 1667 is the second volume in the Dark Cities Series by Facade Games and promises a lot of fun and twists for large groups!
